I enjoyed an afternoon lunch with an old friend recently at Mitchell’s Fish Market in Rochester Hills at The Village. Mitchells’s Fish Market is located at the north end of The Village shopping center.
Mitchell’s Fish Market Rochester Hills has a very modern and classy interior. It’s decor includes cherry woods, glass accents, and steel trims. Seating is very comfortable and cozy. Table tops are padded, and covered with a white linen table cloth. (see pics below)
The staff at Mitchell’s Fish Market was very courteous. I appreciated the kindness and the professionalism. I also appreciated the fact that it seemed natural and genuine.
Mitchell’s Fish Market Rochester Hills menu is full of seafood favorites… plates such as shrimp scampi, cedar plank salmon, the market catch prepared how you like it, the classic fish and chips and more. They also offer soups and salads, fish and shrimp tacos, and some tempting sandwich dishes like Today’s Market Catch Fish Sandwich, Yellowfin Tuna Melt, cod or crab cake sliders, and a Lobster Roll BLT. Menu prices for Mitchell’s Fish Market range from about $9 and up for lunch, and about $10 and up for dinner.
My friend and I started lunch off with an appetizer… the Spicy Asian Shrimp which is served with sweet sticky rice and pickled cucumbers. The pickled cucumbers were a great compliment to the spicy sauce on the shrimp.

For an entree I ordered the Shang Hai Seafood Sampler which includes fresh Atlantic salmon, scallops and shrimp, steamed with ginger and served with sesame spinach, sticky rice and rice wine soy sauce. I am a huge fan of blackened dishes, so the waitress said they could prepare mine blackened rather than steamed. My friend got the exact same dish but steamed. We both thought it was fresh, light, and flavorful.

I enjoyed out lunch and plan to make it back to Mitchell’s Fish Market to try one of the other menu options. Lunch is a perfect time to go as it was not too busy, and I am guessing portion sizes are a bit smaller since they are priced lower than the dinner menu.

We just had dinner at Mitchell’s! Food not good! Felt bed fir our waitress, she kept apologizing. The food was very late, ran out of 00 beer and a menu pick of my husbands( restaurant was not busy at all for a Friday night). The waitress said the bar was busy! Husband reordered his meal which was not cook right then sent back! So frustrating! Won’t go back!
