Multimedia Makeup Academy Summer Camps – From glitz & glamour to movie special FX makeup. Multimedia Makeup offers fun, week-long day camps for kids for future makeup artists – or kids ages 9-16 who want to have fun creating wild looks straight from the movies.
Camps run from 9a-3p, 5 days in length and cover a wide-range of fun subjects (see below). Camps run all summer and are hosted at Multimedia Makeup Academy in Troy and include ALL materials (and lunch). All camps for 2020 are $225 each or buy 3, get one free!
Multimedia Makeup Academy Summer Camps 2020
Marvelous Makeup – June 15-19 or August 3 through August 7
Combine beauty AND FX makeup techniques and products to create mermaids, sea creatures, fairies, and more. Learn how to get creative with original makeup looks using a variety of beauty, face paint, and FX makeup products.
Beyond Beauty Camp – June 22 – June 26
Students learn – age appropriate beauty techniques, makeup history, trends, and how to apply makeup like a pro. Each session ends in a full beauty makeup application.
Glitz & Glamour Camp – June 29 through July 3
Skills learned are ideal for recital, theatre, and costume party beauty. Learn techniques seen on IG and social media, Red Carpet makeup history, pro application techniques, and more.
Trauma Techniques – July 6 through July 10
Learn makeup trauma techniques – lacerations, abrasions, incisions, and more. Students create bruises, various cuts, muscles, and bone. Learn how to work safely with FX makeup products like paints, latex, and scar wax.
FX Trauma Trends – July 13 through July 17
Campers will use clay and cement to sculpt, mold and cast mind boggling trauma prosthetics. FX Trauma trends will also review how to safely incorporate props into trending trauma makeups as seen in social media. Use fake blood recipes and create eye-popping makeup effects.
Making Monsters – July 20 through July 24
Transform yourself into a zombie, werewolf, monster, or creature. The focus of this camp is how to create 3-D monster effects without traditional sculpting and mold making supplies. Students learn how to design, mold, and cast movie props using professional makeup FX products.
Macabre Makeup – August 10 through August 14
Students learn how to create and add spooky elements to their. Use FX products, FX beauty makeups, and more to create prosthetics, skulls, fangs, and more.
Fun in The Sun – August 17 through August 21
Kids learn how to enhance their natural glow with beauty techniques and create unique face paints. Learn beauty makeup techniques, special FX applications, face painting, and more.
Crash Courses – 1-Day Camps – $45 for 1 day or $200 for all 5
Each day covers a different makeup-related topic where students will learn about professional products, makeup techniques, and more.
