Oakland County Youth Group for Special Needs – Oakland County Parks Adaptive Recreation has created Youth Group events for individuals ages 13-25 with special needs that features fun and exciting events throughout the year.

Many of the Youth Group’s events will feature social events (dances), visits to the local nature centers, and even trips to local waterparks and other Oakland County Parks properties.

Spring Dance
Clawson City Hall (425 N Main St, Clawson, MI 48017)
Enjoy snacks, a DJ and dancing. Cost is $5/participant with no charge for chaperones attending. Pre-registration and payment is required. To register, call 248-424-7081

Waterparks Visit
Red Oaks Waterpark (1455 E 13 Mile Rd, Madison Hts, MI)

Independence Oaks County Park FUN
Independence Oaks County Park (9501 Sashabaw Road, Clarkston, MI)
Zip lining, fishing, pontoon boat ride and nature center visit at Independence Oaks. For this trip, bus transportation will be available from the South Recreation office, 27725 Greenfield Road in Southfield. The bus will depart at 10a and return at 4p. Cost is $5/passenger. Cost for the event itself is $10/participant and $5 for chaperone. To register, call 248-424-7081
