Renaissance Fencing Club Summer Camps – Renaissance Fencing Club in Troy offers fun summer camps for boys and girls ages 7-17 interested in Fencing.
The modern Olympic sport of fencing engages both mind and body. Fencing is physically and mentally demanding and teaches problem solving as well as improving reflexes and agility. Fencing is unique in that a certain body type is not required; rather fencing encourages different styles based on size and strength. Fencers salute and shake hands at the end of the match to show respect regardless of the outcome, win or lose. All use of equipment is included – dress in sports clothing and sneakers. This camp is designed to be an intro to fencing for kids ages 7-12. This year Renaissance will also offer a week of camp just for teens ages 13 – 17.

Renaissance Fencing Club Summer Camps cost is $250 per week
RFC offers an open, inclusive, diverse, and fun environment for kids to engage in and learn fencing. These camps have a curriculum developed by three-time Olympic fencer and 2016 Rio Olympic team captain Ann Marsh-Senic. Since 1996, RFC is nationally recognized as the strongest regional fencing program with expert coaching and youth development.
Check out the RFC website for Introduction to Fencing classes for kids throughout the Winter and Spring where kids can get fencing from day 1. RFC has fencing programs for all ages and levels – from kids to adults, from beginner to Olympic level. RFC is avid promoter of diversity and women with a girls only program and an equal split of female and male coaching staff.
Renaissance Fencing Club has just recently moved to a 11000 square foot building with a sports court floor and 36 electric fencing strips!
