Riverside Park Auburn Hills review, pics, hours, and info. Located in the heart of Downtown Auburn Hills, Riverside Park has many new features the City of Auburn Hills incorporates their events into. The Auburn Hills park is maintained by the City of Auburn Hills.
Riverside Park Auburn Hills
Riverside is a small, neighborhood park that doesn’t have the space square footage-wise of nearby River Woods Park, but has unique features suited for the downtown residents. The park features a newly-build splash pad for kids (SPLASH PAD REVIEW/PICS), and a new amphitheatre. Both of these amenities play a role in key events the city hosts each summer – Friday Night Summer Concerts, Reelz by the Riverside FREE Outdoor Movie Nights, and the annual Summerfest, a 2-day festival featuring live music, a car show, and more.

In addition to the splash pad and amphitheatre, the small park offers a play structure and playground area (though hardly new), a canoe launch (used in their annual Paddlepalooza event), pavilion area for rent, and various grills and picnic tables that you would find that adorn most area parks. A convenience of the downtown park is the heated restrooms, which are open year-round. There are also a nice trail system that runs along the river. It’s a great place for a summer picnic, especially with the addition of the FREE (for AH residents only) splash pad.
