Rochester Community House Antique Appraisal Day – The Rochester Avon Historical Society will host their 2014 Antique Appraisal Day on Sunday, March 2 at the Rochester Community House from noon-4:00 pm.

There are more appraisers this year who have offered to donate their time and expertise in traditional toys (including Hot Wheels, action figures, electric trains and board games), Native American art and artifacts, African art, folk art, photography, books, manuscripts, coins, clocks, glassware, pottery, china, lighting, furniture, guns, military items, teddy bears, dolls, collectibles, jewelry, Eastern art, paintings, prints and much more. With additional appraisers this year, the wait times will be reduced and with all of that expertise, you’re sure to discover important information about your antique treasures and collectibles.

All items are appraised at fair market value. For larger items that cannot be transported, bring photographs that show the piece you want appraised and any of the item’s detail that may be helpful to the appraiser.

Admission to Rochester Community House Antique Appraisal Day is free. Appraisals for items appraised at less than $20 are free. Appraisals (verbal only) for items appraised at over $20 are $5 per item. Limit five items per person please.

This Rochester Community House Antique Appraisal Day event is open to everyone. Proceeds benefit the Rochester-Avon Historical Society’s mission to help preserve, collect and interpret the history of the greater Rochester area for present and future generations.
