Royal Oak Golf Center Putt Putt Review Pics – The Royal Oak Golf Center is located north of 13 Mile Rd. east of Coolidge. The ROGC has a driving range, lessons, and an 18-hole championship mountain-style adventure golf putt putt course.

My kids love to play putt putt and we typically play at one of the two courses offered at Willow Creek Golf and Sports Center in Lake Orion. We recently decided to meet up with some family to play putt putt and we figured we would try something different. When I heard that the mini golf course at the ROGC claims to be “18-hole championship wonder…most spectacular miniature golf course of its kind… undeniably the most challenging mini-golf course in SE Michigan,” we had to try it out for ourselves.

With a claim like that, I worried that the kids would get discouraged and frustrated as they racked up a bunch of sixes on the score card. But, in actuality, the kids (ranging from 10-14) each got a couple hole-in-ones and either got close or beat their usual average score.

The kids had a good time. The putt putt course was nice and well-maintained. We’ve seen some that are pretty run down. But, as far as the claims are concerned, I wouldn’t say the mini golf course was quite the most spectacular miniature golf course or its kind, nor was it the most challenging – but it was fun!

The putt putt course was situated on different elevations giving it the mountain-style character. Each hole had some challenges with some mini hills thrown in. There was also some mini waterfalls and ponds throughout the course.

The mini golf course must get pretty crowded since there were signs throughout the course that had rules to keep the game moving. For example, there were signs stating that groups of more than four are not allowed, it is suggested that you stop after 5 strokes, each hole should be played in only 4 minutes or less, please allow faster groups to play through, please keep pace with the group ahead of you….no kidding, these were all signs that were posted throughout the course.

The Golf Center has a full snack bar serving hot dogs, fountain soda, slushees, chips, and a variety of other snacks and bottled beverages. They even offer birthday parties and special events at its mini golf course. A party tent, which can seat up to 70 people, is also available for events. Group discounts offered for parties of 10 or more.

The Royal Oak Golf Center putt putt is open 7 days a week. Hours are Monday-Sunday 9a-10:30p with the last round of Miniature Golf sold ONE HOUR prior to close.
