Oakland County Parks and Recreation celebrates Guest Appreciation Day by offering free daily park entry on Thanksgiving Day. Experience natural areas, trails and all park amenities at Addison Oaks, Highland Oaks, Independence Oaks, Lyon Oaks, Orion Oaks and Rose Oaks county parks. Everyone is welcome to enjoy a delicious meal on Thanksgiving meal courtesy of First Presbyterian. RSVP ins encouraged but not necessary. All dinner guests arriving in person will remain outside the building and receive meals packed to-go to take home. If weather permits meals may be enjoyed outside under tents. They anticipate serving up to 150 to-go meals through the lobby door portal between 11:30am and 1:30pm. They will also deliver another 150 pre-packaged meals to local institutions. Monroe Street Drive-In Powered By Emagine will feature a 60×32 ft digital projection screen. Showtimes every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7p. All showtimes and programming will be managed by Emagine Entertainment and the site will include parking for up to 65 vehicles including outdoor seating, pedestrian paths, concession pavilions and lighting, and warming areas.
