Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Pizza Crusts – Review

To be honest, I’ve had the gluten free pizzas at Buddy’s and Mod and they weren’t all that great. Buddy’s was the better of the two, but Mod is simply not done well. I got tired of the “hit and miss” and paying quite a bit on something that sometimes wasn’t good enough to eat. I’ve found that I’m better off doing it myself.

So, when I saw the Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Pizza Crusts, I decided it was worth a shot. The Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Pizza Crusts can be found in the freezer section. Each pack contains two Fridays that are about eight inches across.

To make a pizza using theTrader Joe’s Gluten Free Pizza Crusts, you simply pull one from the freezer to rest for about 15 to 25 minutes. Then top with your favorite sauce, cheese and toppings and cook at 425 degrees for 10-11 minutes directly on the rack. I used Daiya cheese to make it dairy free and it came out great. Even my son said he couldn’t tell it was gluten free. He doesn’t have the most refined palate and I can guarantee there are better tasting pizza crusts out there that are full of gluten, but if it passes the kid test, it’s got to be good.

The ingredients in the Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Pizza Crusts are water, gluten free flour (buckwheat flour, sorghum flour, rice flour), potato starch, olive oil, sugar, xanthan gum, citrus fiber, sea salt, yeast, garlic powder, sunflower lecithin, mixed tocopherols (vitamin E for freshness).
