Uncle Frank’s Apple Town Cider Mill Pics

Uncle Frank’s offers the full Michigan Cider Mill experience complete with pies, donuts, fresh cider, pumpkin patch pumpkins (buy ’em by the lb), and bags of apples. You can watch the cider being made fresh. You can even rent out the beautiful, rustic barn for weddings and parties. For the kids, there’s a challenging corn maze with checkpoints throughout to be found. For kids and adults, there are hayrides in a charming decorated wagon (see pics). While the list of goods for sale isn’t expansive, all the goodies are fairly affordable (a half-gallon of cider checks in at just $4.75 a gallon).

It’s great to see a Metro Detroit Cider Mill in “Up North” Michigan. As a self-proclaimed cider mill connoisseur (see all of our Cider Mill reviews below), I was impressed with my visit to Uncle Frank’s. Frank’s doesn’t have an extensive menu, tremendous variety, or even convenient hours… but it is a very charming, scenic cider mill experience that will remind you of a visit similar, to say, Parementer’s Cider Mill in Northville with hayride, cornmaze experiences similar, but on a smaller scale, to Erwin Orchards Cider Mill in South Lyon. The best part about Up North cider mills? A VERY relaxing crowd and atmosphere – even on a weekend day!
