Waterford Parks and Rec Summer Camps 2018 – Waterford Township Parks & Recreation offers Farm and Nature day camps and a variety of specialty camps. Deadline to register is always the Wednesday prior to camp. Registration will continue after this point if availability allows and a $10 late fee will be added.
Waterford Parks and Rec Summer Camps at Hess-Hathaway Park / Farm
Little Farmer’s Camp – Kids Ages 3-5 – $75 Per Week
Sign your pre-schooler up for a camp filled with many activities focused around farm animals including: games, songs, crafts, hikes. Everyday will be themed centering on a particular animal. T-shirt included.

Farm Camp – Kids Ages 6-10 – $150 Per Week, $120* for holiday week
Experience farm life and enjoy a memorable summer filled with hayrides, ice-cream making, crafts, s-mores over campfire, outdoor games and trips to water park. Before & after care available 7:30-9am $25, 3-5:30p $30 and combo am/pm $50. Campers bring sack lunch and beverage. Includes t-shirt.

Farm and Adventure Camp – Kids Ages 9-13 – $185 Per Week
For the mature camper that would enjoy hands-on experience with our farm animals, camp-over, hayride, field trips – CJ Barrymore’s, Wave Pool and a nature hike, fishing and kayak/canoe adventure at Independence Oaks. Camp-over is on Thursday night and campers may be picked up at 9am Friday morning*. Campers bring tents. Before and after care is available for $35/week from 7:30-9a and 4-5:30p on Monday–Thursday morning.

Waterford Parks and Rec Summer Camps at Drayton Plains Nature Center
Pre-School Nature Enthusiasts Camp – Kids Ages 3-5 – $60 Per Week
Laugh, run, explore, get wet and enjoy the beautiful woods and river with games and crafts. Each day is a themed day highlighting a particular Michigan animal. Designed for independent children who are ready to meet new friends and be active outdoors! Camper needs to be potty-trained and meet age requirements by the first day of camp.
M-TH – 6/25-6/28 – 9a-noon
Nature Survival Camp – Kids Ages 6-9 AND Ages 9-13 – $120 Per Week
Does your child have what it takes to survive in the wild? Campers will build shelters, create simple fire pits (weather permitting), shoot a bow and arrow and learn to identify plants in the wilderness. Make new friends and memories in the beautiful natural world! *Wed, Aug 15 special trip to Pontiac Lake Recreation Area for kayaking, fishing, swimming and nature walk.

Waterford Parks & Rec Summer Camps – Specialty Camps
Kid’s TV, Radio & Video Camp – Kids Ages 10-16 – $100 Per Week
Lights, Camera, Action! This is a camp where kids become filmmakers. In just 4 days, campers will learn how to produce, direct, light, shoot and edit their very own video in a TV station! All equipment is provided. Bring a bag lunch except for Friday when a pizza lunch will be provided. At the end of the camp, we invite friends and family to a special premiere of the camper’s projects.

NASA® CAMP: Academy of Future Space Explorers! – Kids Ages 5-12 – $190 Per Week
Mad Science has teamed up with NASA in a quest for discovery of planets, moons, and other space phenomena. Kids will assemble a satellite and train to be an astronaut. Mad Science is the ONLY organization licensed by NASA to use these activities for summer camps.

Mind Craft and Lego Stop Motion Animation Camps – Kids Ages 7-13 – $185 Per Week
Two GAME CRAZY camps offered in combination or separate. Minecraft is a game where players construct elaborate works and learn about digital citizenship, history, architecture, electronic circuits and computer programming. LEGO® Camp allows children the medium to bring their stories to life by building backgrounds, time sequencing and story boards.

Little Veterinarian School- Kids Ages 6-10 – $190 Per Week
Little Medical School provides hands-on activities that will actively engage children as they learn the exciting world of veterinarians. Along with household pets, campers will be introduced to farm animals and learn how to make assessments and care for a variety of animals.
