West Bloomfield School District  – The West Bloomfield School District serves over 5,300 students from West Bloomfield Township and the cities of Orchard Lake Village, Keego Harbor, and Sylvan Lake. Student achievement ranks among the highest in the state, and 97 percent of their students go on to college. The district’s priority is the academic achievement of all students as students are educated to be critical thinkers, creative problem solvers, and communicators that are respectful of the diversity in West Bloomfield.

The West Bloomfield School District offers Schools of Choice opportunities to residents of Oakland County. Each year, the district offers an application window for those interested in attending one of their award-winning schools, running from mid-January to mid-February. The West Bloomfield School District offers a wide variety of experiences for students which fit the individualized needs of each student.

The district’s Portrait of a Graduate focuses on four key competencies that, when fostered and developed, will help West Bloomfield students to be successful in all phases of their lives in the future. These four key competencies are referred to as the 4Cs and stand for Contributor, Critical Thinker, Collaborator and Communicator. Through the Portrait of a Graduate and the 4Cs, students will be successful no matter what they choose to do upon leaving the West Bloomfield. It is the district’s belief that once a student masters these four skills, they will be prepared for whatever their futures have in store.
