Wii Fit Plus Review and Video Part One

Wii Fit Plus Review and Video Part One – review and video of Wii Fit Plus for Nintendo as a Yoga, strength-training, cardio fitness routine.

Well, I heard enough good things about the new Wii Fit Plus that I had to out and buy it for myself and review it with video. I got it a few days ago and it’s already paid itself off!

This new Wii Fit Plus software is well worth the $20. If you have a Wii Fit already, this is a great upgrade. It comes with all the games of the current software, and then 15 new exercises under Training Plus, as well as a couple under the current categories (e.g. yoga and strength). If you purchase a new Wii Fit, it will come with this new software.

The new training plus section has 15 fun new exercises, as well as a new fun run that has some fun paths and quizzes at the end.  The kids love to see if they can answer all the questions at the end of their run, e.g. how many dogs did you see? It definitely gets them to run more and more! And this is just the tip of the iceberg. My next review will show more of each of the new exercises, which I think are even more fun than the original ones.

In addition to the new fun, the new Wii Fit Plus software also has some added features. My favorite is how you can now easily switch from mii to mii instead of having to go all the way back to the original screen. Now, you can do it quickly between exercises by simply clicking on the switch feature and choosing a new mii. It also has two additional calculations, calories burned (given at the completion of an exercise), as well as MET’s, which rate the burn level of each exercise. One final new feature to mention is that you can create a personalized routine. Basically, you put it together by choosing several different exercises which then run consecutively without interruption.

Overall, I am still thrilled with my Wii Fit, and I still have to fight with my kids to get on it! Stay tuned for part two where I will feature some of the new exercises!
