New Year’s Resolution Suggestion – Night Sledding at Lost Lake Park in Oakland Twp. Lost Lake is my favorite sled hill in Oakland County AND they have night sledding on Friday and Saturday nights. Night Sledding at Lost Lake has a fast hill, a slow hill, and a cozy warming shelter at the bottom of the well-lit hill. Lost Lake is worth the drive, no matter where in Oakland County you live.
New Year’s Resolution Suggestion – Take the family to a local winter festival. Motown Winter Blast isn’t the only winter festival in Metro Detroit. Celebrate winter (because were stuck with it) at winter festivals like Fire & Ice, Berkley Winterfest, Winter Family Fun Day and many more. Check ’em out!
New Year’s Resolution Suggestion – Hit the libraries! Despite some pretty severe budget cuts over the years, the local libraries still offer summer reading programs, seasonal events, weekly adult programs, video game days for teens and tons of fun events & programs.
New Year’s Resolution Suggestion – Visit an Oakland County park you haven’t tried yet. It doesn’t have to be down your street. Oakland County has many parks featuring giant playscapes, free public beaches, miles of trails, swimming and more! Find one you haven’t been to yet, pack a lunch, & explore!

They all feature local downtown shopping, drink specials, prizes, specials and freebies.
