MetroBarks Dog Walking Club at Indian Springs Metropark – Prepare to walk between one to three miles along our paved trail, with stops along the way for your pups to sniff, explore and rest. Dogs are required to remain on a 6-foot leash. Please be prepared to clean up your pet’s waste. If your dog is having a bad day or displaying aggressive behaviors, you may be asked to leave the program early. Ages 8+. $3 per child / $5 per adult. Discovery at Dusk – wbparks.org Hit the trails for a sunset hike while searching for the animals most active during twilight. You might be lucky enough to spot fireflies. After the hike, bask in the glow of a campfire, roast s’mores and listen to some stories. This is a family program, all children and adults must register. $7 residents / $9 non-residents. Indian Springs Metropark Butterfly Walk – Learn about these amazing insects and the role they play as pollinators. Then journey through the prairie to search for the variety of native plants that make Indian Springs Metropark a great butterfly habitat, and hopefully see some of the butterflies themselves. You’ll be able to take home some seeds to grow a pollinator-friendly space in your own yard. All ages. $3 per child / $5 per adult / under 2 FREE. BSA Outdoor Adventure Troop 326 Open House – Troop 326 is a boys-led outdoor focused adventure group focused on hiking, camping and friendships. Meet scout and adult leaders. Try a variety of different activities. Snacks will be served. Ages 10-17 welcome. No prior scouting experience.

Night of the Dragon – A Metroparks medieval festival! Enjoy live entertainment, inflatable jousting, bounce house, crafts, food & drink for purchase, strolling performers, medieval costumes and contests, skywatching meteor showers, and more! Indian Springs Metropark Great Skeleton Scavenger Hunt – Grab your family, friends and your courage and come find these skeletons in The Great Skeleton Scavenger Hunt. Your first stop is the Environmental Discovery Center where you will pick up your skeleton scavenger hunt map and form. Then head out on the nature trails to spot as many skeletons as you can. Remember to pay attention to what you see them doing. Bring your scavenger hunt form back to the Environmental Discovery Center to see if you won a prize. All Ages. FREE event.
