Ionic Pro Turbo Air Purifier Review

Ionic Pro Turbo Air Purifier Review – Model #TA500 – review of the Ionic Pro Turbo Air Purifier I purchased at Bed Bath and Beyond.

Our furnace installer told us we could get even better performance by running the fan on our furnace all year to distribute air evenly throughout the house whether the furnace was running or not. The installer was right, it worked. The downside was that this also gave us more household dust.

We toyed with idea of getting an air purifier. Our knowledge of them was very limited. I thought most had expensive filters to replace. Furnace filter replacements were costly enough, I didn’t want to get into a money pit of having to replace filters for two household items. Upon further research, I was surprised to find many models don’t have separate filters to replace and that you can clean them periodically. I was also pleasantly surprised to learn that they weren’t expensive to run. It turns out that most operate at a wattage comparable to a standard child’s nightlight. Armed with our research knowledge (and a 20% off coupon to Bed Bath & Beyond), we decided on an Ionic Pro Turbo Ionic Air Purifier Model #TA500. With the coupon, it was less than $150.00

The Ionic Pro Turbo Model #TA500 boasts coverage of a 10’x 12′ room and claims to capture 99.9% of airborne germs, bacteria, mold spores, dust, pollen and more in about 30 minutes. Ionic Pro Turbo is the size of a standard tower-like fan unit and doesn’t look bulky or unattractive in a room. We found that the Ionic Pro Turbo is extremely easy to open and to clean, which was a huge plus. We just unboxed Ionic Pro Turbo, put it in the corner of a bedroom and plugged it in. Ionic Pro Turbo is whisper quiet even when turned on “high.” We noticed an almost immediate difference. The ionized air smells terrific! Some reviewers complained about the blue indicator light on it being too bright but I don’t have any issues with it. It’s like a nice blue nightlight. Anyway, I really only cared about the air quality and it delivered. There is noticeably less dust in the house on cleaning day and my allergy situation has greatly improved. For the first time in months, my husband and I don’t wake up congested and I can report that we both seem to sleep better with it in the room. Again, Ionic Pro Turbo is super easy to clean. Every 5 days or so the Ionic Pro Turbo will start to hum a bit letting you know the filter has to be cleaned. Simply open the unit, remove the filter, clean the blades with soapy water and allow to completely air-dry before inserting it back into the unit.

Anyway, I’m not necessarily trying to only give a Ionic Pro Turbo Air Purifier Review. I’m sure all air purifiers have their pros and cons (and I’m tired of reading reviews about people arguing over dust micro fiber percentages). I’ve also become aware in my research not to view air purifiers as a “cure-all.” You still have to eliminate as much dust as you can through your home by cleaning and maintaining your furnace filters. You should also have significant air flow in your house through your furnace use. I simply want to state that air purifiers are great tools for helping allergy situations and reducing dust. My family loves ours. We move ours from room to room on a daily basis and we all notice the difference in air quality throughout our home.

I hope this Ionic Pro Turbo Air Purifier review is helpful.
