Panera Summer Menu Items Review – Panera recently added to its already extensive menu. I decided to review them. There are three new items to choose from
PANERA SUMMER MENU ITEMS REVIEW
Tomato, Mozzarella & Basil Salad – features fresh vine-ripened tomatoes, cucumbers, basil and onions that are marinated in a tangy balsamic vinaigrette before being mixed with fresh mozzarella and Asiago cheese croutons – all served over field greens and romaine lettuce. Lastly, it’s finished with coarse sea salt, pepper and specially sourced extra virgin olive oil from a farm on the island of Crete in Greece.
Frozen Strawberry Lemonade – has been added to Panera’s line of frozen beverages. Sure to cool summertime tastebuds, the drink is made with real strawberry puree and Panera’s signature lemonade and does not contain any high fructose corn syrup or artificial flavorings.
Strawberry Poppyseed & Chicken Salad – has been reintroduced. The summertime favorite is made with all-natural, antibiotic-free chicken, crisp romaine lettuce and accented with fresh strawberries and blueberries, as well as pineapple, Mandarin oranges and pecans. As a finishing touch, all ingredients are tossed in a fat-free, reduced-sugar Poppyseed dressing.
I tried the Frozen Strawberry Lemonade and the Tomato, Mozzarella & Basil Salad. The drink was a good combination of sweet and sour. Sometimes these frozen fruit drinks can taste overly sweet, but this one is nicely tart and only 180 calories! And, it comes with with a big giant straw so you can take big gulps! The salad was huge and really good – totally fresh ingredients, a great mix of greens, a perfect amount of dressing, tasty Asiago cheese croutons, and more. It was a great mix and balance of all the fresh ingredients, seasonings, and vinaigrette dressing.
