Indian Springs Metropark Surviving the Cold
Indian Springs Metropark Surviving the Cold – at Indian Springs Metropark (248-625-6640, metroparks.com). Explore Michigan in the winter and discuss what causes seasonal
changes, how important winter is and discover some ways plants and animals have adapted to survive. Conduct a hands-on experiment to test our instincts when guarding against the cold weather. Interact with animals and go underneath the pond to explore what happens under water when it gets cold. Discover an appreciation for the cold dark days of winter and discuss the magic, beauty and some of the fun that can still be had outside in the snow. Ages 5+. $3 per child / $5 per adult. Pre-registration required. Advanced pre-registration required online or call 248-625-7280. A Metroparks daily or annual vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark.
