RARA Rochester Summer Camps 2025 – RARA (Rochester Avon Recreation Authority) offers several summer day camp programs and themed Summer Camps for kids ages 4-13.
Many RARA Rochester Summer Camps travel with camp field trips and offer unique experiences for kids. RARA Rochester Summer Camps even offers Latchkey, a Before / After care program for additional fees. You can sign up for one week or all eight.
RARA Rochester Summer Camps 2025
Registration opens April 1, 2025 at 8a. Camps begin June 16 and run through August 15, 2025. Camps are 9a-4p with Latchkey 7:30a-9a and 4p-5:30p unless noted. Sign up today for RARA Rochester Summer Camps!
RARA has been the community recreation provider to the communities of Rochester, Rochester Hills and the surrounding communities since 1946.
A detailed schedule will be given to parents the first morning of camp.
RARA Summer Camps campers need to bring a bathing suit, towel, non-perishable lunch with their name on it, sunscreen, and water bottle.
A camp t-shirt is given out to campers during the week of camp. A detailed camp schedule will be emailed to parents before camp begins and given to parents on the first day of RARA Rochester Summer Camps.
RARA Summer camps take place at Rochester Municipal Park and Bloomer Park in Rochester Hills.

Camp Blue Jay For Kids 4 Years Old – Weekly June 16-August 15
Camp activities include games, crafts, nature activities, sports, special guests, pool swimming, special events, field trips, and other adventurous activities. Camps will be held at the Rochester Municipal Park Lions Shelter. Counselors are experienced in childcare and education. A camp t-shirt is given out during camp. Latchkey is provided for Camp Blue Jay 7:30a-10a and 3p-5:30p.

Camp Oriole For Kids 5 Years Old – Weekly June 16-August 15
Camp Oriole provides an engaging experience for young kids. Camp activities include games, crafts, friendly sports, weekly field trips, kiddie pools, and other adventures. Camp will be held at the Rochester Municipal Park Lions Shelter. Counselors are experienced in childcare and education. Latchkey is provided for Camp Oriole 7:30a-10a and 3p-5:30p.

Camp Flamingo For Kids 5-6 Years Old – Weekly June 16-August 15
Activities include games, crafts, special events, special guests, challenging activities, nature hikes, field trips once a week, trips to Spencer Beach, and more. At Spencer Park, activities include a lake with a guarded beach, picnic area, play structure, and sports fields. (Campers MUST have completed Kindergarten; Camp is geared towards Grades K-1st)

Camp Canary For Kids 6-7 Years Old – Weekly June 16-August 15
Camp Canary is full of entertaining and fun activities all summer long. Activities include games, crafts, special guests, field trips once a week (Wednesdays), trips to Spencer Beach, and much more! At Spencer Park, activities include a lake with a guarded beach, picnic area, play structure, and sports fields. (Camp geared towards 2nd graders)

Camp Cardinal For Kids 7-8 Years Old – Weekly June 16-August 15
Activities will include games, nature projects, swimming, crafts, challenging activities, and much more. At Spencer Park activities include a lake with guarded beach, fishing pier, picnic area, play structure, and sport fields. Campers will go on one field trip per week. Camp T-shirts are provided on field trip day.

Camp Falcon For Kids 9 Years Old – Weekly June 16-August 15
Camp Falcon offers a fun-filled experience with a variety of activities. This includes friendly sports, games, crafts, challenging outdoor activities, and weekly field trips . Campers will also go to Spencer Beach with amenities such as a lake with a lifeguarded beach, a play structure, and sports fields.

Camp Raven For Kids 10-13 Years Old – Weekly June 16-August 15
2 field trips per week. Some of the trips might include zoos, museums, wave pools and adventure centers. Other activities will include sports, swimming, challenging activities, and much more. At Spencer Park activities include a lake with guarded beach, picnic area, play structure, and sport fields. Camp T-shirts are provided on field trip days.

Adventureland Camp 6-9 Years Old – June 16–20
This camp brings out the adventure in your camper. They will spend the week going on adventures, exploring new worlds, making unique craft projects, and more. Be prepared to explore and have lots of fun.
Out of This World Camp Ages 6-9 Years Old – June 23-27
Discover the mysteries of the universe and explore distant planets all through thrilling crafts, games, and stellar activities. Get ready for a cosmic journey filled with star-studded field trips and out-of-this-world fun!
Superhero Camp Ages 6-9 Years Old – July 7-11
Superhero campers will have the opportunity to do a variety of crafts, games, challenges, field trips, trips to Spencer Park, and more all revolving around being and becoming a superhero. Adventure awaits with field trips and fun.
STEM Camp for Kids Ages 8-13 Years Old – July 14-18
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Each day, campers will work on popular projects that will peak your child’s interest and curiosity with hands on activities. Participation and fun are part of the program, designed as step one in your child’s road to the future of STEM.
Climbing Adventure Camp Ages 8-13 Years Old – July 22-24
Climbing Adventure Camp is a Tuesday through Thursday camp where campers will spend all 3 days at Tree Runner Rochester Adventure Park. This camp is designed and curated to empower children to become confident adventurers by building friendships, strength, and overcoming challenges, in an outdoor environment.
Into the Wild Camp Ages 6-12 Years Old – July 28-August 1
Campers will spend the week learning about different animals, traveling around to different locations, and learning new things about animals. Activities include crafts, games, zoo field trips, and more.
Creation Station Camp Ages 6-9 Years Old – August 4-8
Campers will spend the week creating tons of different craft projects/games. Be prepared to get messy, have a creative unique special guest/field trip, and have lots of fun.
Mission Possible Camp for Kids Ages 6-12 Years Old – August 11-15
This week will be filled with exciting challenges, field trips, games, special missions, and surprise activities.

Amazing Race Camp Ages 9-13 Years Old – June 16-20
Partner up with a camp friend or two and try to be the winning team. The week will be composed of different games, obstacles, and road blocks. By the end of the week, there will be a winning team. Be ready to run, think, and get dirty. For those kids that love a challenge.
Super Soakin’ Camp I & II & III Ages 6-12 Years Old – June 23-27 / July 21-25 / August 4-8
Cool off from the summer heat and enjoy spending time with friends while exploring a different watering hole each day through various field trips and visits to Spencer Park.
Sports Extreme Camp Ages 9-13 – July 7-July 11
Each day will be filled with different sports. This action packed camp will challenge your camper in a series of drills, games, challenges, and exercises. Some sports will include soccer, basketball, flag football, volleyball, and more.
Everything Edible Camp I Ages 6-9 & II Ages 6-12 Years Old – July 14-18 / August 11-15
Campers will spend the week traveling to different locations that make good eats and cool treats. Field trips and potential trips to Spencer Park included. NOTE: not a cooking camp.
Game On Camp Ages 9-13 Years Old – July 28-August 1
This sports camp week is all about challenges, friendly competition, games, and more. Go against other campers as well as counselors in this minute-to-win-it themed week. Field trips and trips to Spencer Park included.

Campers will spend the week going on field trips and hanging out at RARA. Field trips are to be determined, but could include the zoo, bowling, magicians, farms, movie theaters, and more!
