Black River Farm and Ranch Summer Equestrian Camps – Summer destination equestrian camps for girls ages 6-15 in Metro Detroit and beyond at the scenic, all-inclusive Black River Farm & Ranch in Croswell, Michigan (just N of Port Huron).
Black River Farm and Ranch Summer Camps 2025
BR has one or two-week programs filled with riding and grooming horses, boating, swimming, arts & crafts, campfires, trampolines, sports, and MUCH MORE. Each day is FILLED with summer camp fun activities and each evening is filled with camp-wide games, skits, and girl talk around the campfire.
All camps at Black River Farm & Ranch are geared for girls ages 6-15.
Black River is state-licensed and ACA accredited. BR offers Mother-Daughter Retreats, Friends & Family Weekend, a Starter Camp, and one and two-week sessions from June 14 thru August 30.

Black River Farm and Ranch Summer Camps / Equestrian Camps
With a herd of nearly 80 horses, campers spend their mornings at the barn participating in riding lessons, vaulting, barn chores, and so much more! Afternoons are filled with crafts, boating, archery, swimming, field activities, and trail rides.
Each day is packed with activities. BR Farm & Ranch believes it is important to have a balance of scheduled activities and free play time. Their daily schedule incorporates both.
Campers spend the morning grooming, saddling, and riding horses in mounted lessons. In addition, they’ll learn other skills in Basic Horsemanship through ground lessons. The girls will be taught Horseback Riding Skills including, Basic Saddle, Advanced Saddle, Bareback, Vaulting and more. They’ll even try their hand at trail riding with obstacles.
In addition to the horse camp fun, the afternoons and evenings will be filled with arts and crafts, field games, swimming, boating, movie nights, and ALL of the other fun activities associated with premier summer destination camps.
Mother-Daughter Retreats and a Friends & Family weekend are also offered at BRFR this summer!
