Oakland County Moms Calendar of Metro Detroit Summer Events
Downtown Milford 4th of July Parade – Downtown Milford. Due to road closures, this year’s event will take a new scenic route. The parade will begin at 11a on Cabinet Street and will proceed east on Commerce Street to Main Street. Then, will head south on Main Street to end at the entrance of Central Park. For the best parade view, set up a seat along the stretch of Commerce Street from Cabinet to Main Street. You can expect to see proud veterans, color guards, marching bands and more proudly make their way through the route while the community cheers them on. Hosted by Downtown Milford and the Milford Historical Society.
Clinton Twp Fireworks – at 6p (fireworks start at 10p). Preshow fun (fun for kids, live music) begins at 6p. Food vendors available on-site. Shuttle service and additional parking available at Erie Elementary, 9th Grade Center and St Paul of Tarsus Church. For people with loved ones interred at Resurrection Cemetery, the cemetery is extending hours on 7/4 & 7/5 to allow for visitors to share the 7/5 fireworks with their loved one. Walled Lake Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony
Walled Lake Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony features the Holiday Tree Lighting and a visit from Santa Claus. Festivities may start at the Walled Lake City Library (1499 E West Maple Road, Walled Lake, Michigan 48390) earlier with a craft & fun. Hosted by the City of Walled Lake.
