Kensington Metropark Summer Solstice Campfire & Bat Hike – Enjoy games, live animals, and s’mores and then learn some bat facts and head out on a short-guided hike to find some nocturnal flyers. This program will take place at our outdoor amphitheater. This program is entirely outdoors. Social distancing and face coverings are required. One s’more kit (graham cracker, milk chocolate bar, marshmallow) will be provided per registered participant. $5. All 8+. Pre-registration is required at least 1 day in advance at 810-227-8917.

Kensington Metropark Full Moon Paddle – This guided trip will go around one of the largest islands in search of the resident wildlife including the Bald Eagle and Osprey. Also learn the history of Kent Lake and its storied past. Bring your own canoe, kayak, or SUP. A United States Coast Guard approved Personal Floatation Device must be properly worn while on the water. Meet at Kensington Metropark West Boat Launch. Social distancing and face coverings required while on shore. Adults 18 and up. Children may accompany adults in a watercraft made for more than one participant. $10 per boat. All 8+.
