Hart Community Center Santa’s Winter Wonderland – Families will receive one free 5×7 photo w/Santa, treat, take home craft, and a visit to Santa’s mailbox. Slots booked in 5 minute increments to accommodate one family at a time. Please arrive 10 minutes before your registered time.. Pre-registration required. Hosted by Springfield Charter Twp. Oakland County Parks will mark the Juneteenth holiday by waiving vehicle entry fees on Monday, June 19. Oakland County Parks’ Mobile Recreation Unit will also be participating in local celebration and commemoration events honoring Juneteenth throughout Oakland County with fun, free activities such as inflatables, games, climbing towers and more.
Visitors can enjoy access to general park activities, including trails, dog parks, playgrounds, picnic areas, beaches and fishing spots from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset (unless otherwise posted).
Oakland County Fair Fireworks at dusk at Springfield Oaks County Park. Oakland County Parks hosts fireworks at the Oakland County Fair following an 8p Figure 8 Race at the Fair’s grandstand. Stony Creek Art Fair – Come enjoy a beautiful art fair by the lake. This boutique juried art fair will feature artists from across the country, showcasing amazing artwork in every price range. There will be live art demonstrations and hands-on activities. Food trucks will be on-site as well. All ages. FREE event. No pre-registration required.
Wint Nature Center Puddle Jumper Series – at Wint Nature Center at Independence Oaks County Park 248-625-6473. Children ages 3-6 can enjoy nature fun as they increase their love for the great outdoors. A naturalist will engage children with a story, nature talk and related activity. Each child will receive a craft kit to take and make at home. This series meets the second Friday of each month. Cost: $4/child. Call 248-858-0916 weekdays to register. Davisburg Community Fall Fest – Enjoy an exotic animal presentation, barrel rides, tractor show, bouncers, games, activities, and more. This is a FREE event. Food trucks will be available on-site for food to purchase. Hosted by Springview Community Church.
Fenton Howling Haunted Trail & Halloween Party – Adopt-A-Pet Fenton. Gather your friends and walk the haunted trail. If you get out, come to the food tent for nourishment or the beer tent for adult beverages. This event is not for young kids or those who scare easily. All proceeds benefit Adopt-A-Pet of Fenton. Stony Creek Fall Wagon Tours – at Stony Creek Metropark – 90 minute wagon tours. Book either a 10a or 1p ride. Hop on the tractor-drawn wagon and enjoy the beauty of fall along a Nature Trail. Along the way, staff will share stories about Stony Creek’s history and various natural features. After your tour, enjoy a roaring campfire to celebrate the season. Program is weather dependent. Ages 3+. $5 per person. Pre-registration is required online or by calling 586-781-9113. A Metroparks daily or annual vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark.
