WCC Annual Fall Carnival – This year’s theme is “Tent or Treat”. It’s like “Trunk or Treat” with all the fun but minus the worries of the weather, it’s indoors in their on-site gymnasium. Waterford Central Cinema Movie Night – the monthly showing of a family-friendly movie, followed by a brief discussion around the themes of the film. Pontiac’s Annual Community Autism Event – This is a FREE event. Donations are accepted. The event will consist of over 15 different activity stations for the children to make, create and play however they’d like. The event will provide food and snacks, gift bags, raffles, bounce houses, face paintings, live performances etc. For more info, email joyallen22@gmail.com.
Oakland County Parks will mark the Juneteenth holiday by waiving vehicle entry fees on Monday, June 19. Oakland County Parks’ Mobile Recreation Unit will also be participating in local celebration and commemoration events honoring Juneteenth throughout Oakland County with fun, free activities such as inflatables, games, climbing towers and more.
Visitors can enjoy access to general park activities, including trails, dog parks, playgrounds, picnic areas, beaches and fishing spots from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset (unless otherwise posted).
