Kensington Metropark Fireworks – The annual fireworks display will start at dusk. The Huron-Clinton Metroparks fireworks festival, bringing together so much fun and excitement. Tens of thousands of our neighbors gather together – over picnics and under the stars – to enjoy this celebration of our American Independence. A Metroparks vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark. Vehicle permits are on sale NOW. You can pick one up at metroparks.com OR visit your local Metropark today. Troy Historical Society Summer Kick-Off Open House – Enjoy music by the Dodworth Saxhorn Band, get your Troy Historical Society summer raffle tickets, plus food for purchase and info from a variety of Troy organizations about great summer activities. Oakland County Parks will mark the Juneteenth holiday by waiving vehicle entry fees on Monday, June 19. Oakland County Parks’ Mobile Recreation Unit will also be participating in local celebration and commemoration events honoring Juneteenth throughout Oakland County with fun, free activities such as inflatables, games, climbing towers and more.
Visitors can enjoy access to general park activities, including trails, dog parks, playgrounds, picnic areas, beaches and fishing spots from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset (unless otherwise posted).
Pet Event: Mystery Pets – Meet some real live mystery pets and learn which animals might make good pets, and which should be left in the wild. Price: $7 (includes general admission). Discount given to children, seniors, and Troy Historical Society members. No registration required. Details
