Birmingham Community Halloween Fun in the Patch – at Birmingham First United Methodist Church. Children and adults are encouraged to dress up in kid-friendly costumes and enjoy Halloween on the front lawn amongst the Pumpkin Patch. 1p-7p – Pumpkin Patch, 4p-5p – Children’s Parade with Trick or Treating, 4:15p-5:30p – Storybook time & Halloweenie Roast. Birmingham Wine Event – ‘Battle of the Palates’ wine event. Bring your favorite red wine and put it to the test in a blind tasting. Hors D’oeuvres and gifts will be available to everyone. Birmingham Christmas Town – at Birmingham First United Methodist Church. Come early and enjoy wonderful music at their Heralds of Christmas concert, featuring their children’s choirs from 3-4 PM in the main sanctuary. Then, there will be crafts, story time with a guest author, warm hot cocoa, a live petting zoo and a visit with Santa on
Birmingham First Front Lawn (The event will be moved indoors if there is inclement weather.) This is a FREE event hosted by Birmingham First United Methodist Church.
Soggy Doggy at Deer Lake Beach – Bring your dog to the beach to swim, play, fetch, and socialize. This is a FREE event. Pre-registration is required along with record of rabies & DHLPP vaccinations. Donut Be Afraid of Bugs – at 11a & 6p. Educational fun and a Donut truck will be at the VoRH ALL SUMMER. Nadia aka “The Bug Lady” will give you an up-close and educational experience with a variety of bugs. Learn about why these creatures are to be respected for their role in the ecosystem, and not to be feared. You will get the chance to learn about many different exotic insects, touch a tarantula, come face to face with a praying mantis, hold the largest species of millipede in the world, and much more!
