Troy Community Center Trivia Night – Gather your team for a Friday night of friendly trivia competition. Registration fee includes dinner (pizza, breadsticks, salad), refreshments, and two games of trivia play. Prizes awarded to winning teams. Doors will open for dinner to begin at 6 p, and the first game will start at 6:30p. Online registration. Hosted by Troy Recreation.
Southfield Touch-a-Truck – Sensory sensitive hour is from 1p-2p (reduced lighting and sound). Big trucks little trucks, emergency vehicles, demonstrations, drones, and more. Hosed by the City of Southfield.
Troy Community Center Fairy & Gnome Gathering – A morning of magic and enchantment. Dress up like a fairy or gnome as you stroll through the enchanted gardens. Make a fairy/gnome garden of your own. Arts and crafts, face painting, the opportunity to meet tiny woodland animals, and more. Ages 3-12. Pre-registration required. Online registration. Hosted by Troy Recreation.
Troy Community Center 70’s Night Dance – Dance the night away to music performed by Danny D. Danny will play a captivating tribute show to Rod Stewart’s greatest hits. Inspired by his Rock-n-Roll roots, Danny will make sure you have an enjoyable night of great tunes, and great entertainment. $10 Res / $15 Non. Pre-registration required. Online registration. FREE Summer Shindig – Catalpa Oaks County Park Enjoy an evening of fun at Catalpa Oaks County Park. Activities include inflatables, a climbing wall, zip line, face painting, balloon artists and more. In addition, there will be a free concert from 7:30p-9p followed by a showing of the movie “Family Camp” at 9p. Food trucks will have hot dogs, snow cones, popcorn and more for sale from 6p-9p. No registration is needed, just come out and have fun. Hosted by Oakland County Parks and Recreation.
Spencer Park Bass Tournament – The Park Bass Tournament is open to ALL AGES and SKILL LEVELS. All fishing is done from shore and there will be prizes for the most bass caught and also for the largest bass. Tournament participation is $5. Participants receive free park vehicle entry. Trunk or Treat at Highland Park Baptist Church – Stroll from trunk to trunk and collect candy, enjoy complimentary cider and doughnuts. Rain or shine event. This is a FREE event. Please do not wear scary, violent, or inappropriate costumes. Hosted by Highland Park Baptist Church of Southfield.

Southfield Christmas Tree Lighting will follow the lighting ceremony at 6p. Take a walk through light up displays, enjoy refreshments, holiday activities and more. This is an all outdoor event so please dress accordingly. Admission is FREE. Hosted by Southfield Parks & Recreation.
