Birmingham Art Walk – Downtown Birmingham. This free strolling event will feature local artists and shops, entertainment and more throughout downtown Birmingham. Stop by participating merchants to meet local artists and enjoy special promotions, light refreshments and other festivities. Attendees are invited to start at the participating business of their choice to receive an event list and then stroll to visit as many participating businesses and artists as desired, throughout the evening. Birmingham Fire Department Open House – at Adams Fire Station. The hands-on event offers attendees an opportunity to operate a fire hose and learn about fire safety. Portable fire extinguisher and DTE Arcs and Sparks demonstrations also will take place during the open house. View an EMS and vehicle extrication display, along with HAZMAT apparatus and equipment. The Beaumont One helicopter will also be at the event. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and view the inside of the helicopter.
