Santa Visits at Stage Nature Center
Santa Visits at Stage Nature Center is Hosted by the Troy Nature Society. Visit times vary. The visits will take place outside, weather permitting. Bring your letter with a return address for Santa to take with him to the North Pole. Santa will send a letter back to you. At the visit, each child will receive the materials and directions for a special craft to make at home and a special gift bag from Santa. Ages 3-8. $12. Troy Maple Syrup Time – at Stage Nature Center. Take a guided tour through the sugar bush of the Stage Nature Center to discover how maple trees make sugar and how people have harvested it through the ages. This family-friendly program highlights natural and local history of our region. Tour includes a visit to the sugar shed to see a wood-stoked evaporator in action and activities to learn more about syrup making. Everyone will sample maple treats and children will have an opportunity to make a simple craft. Shop for Michigan-made maple syrup, cream, candy and more. Tours every 15 minutes. RARA Easter Egg Hunt
RARA Easter Egg Hunt – 9:30a & 11a (kids ages 1-4), 10a & 11:30a (kids ages 5-8) and 10:30a & Noon (kids ages 9-11) at RARA Fieldhouse. The Easter Bunny will be joining RARA for the family gathering and your child can have their picture taken with him. Bring your camera. Parents, grandparents and infants under 12 months are free. Yoga in the Rock Garden – (5:40p registration) Experience a beautiful practice with Yoga in the Rock Garden at Meadow Brook. All levels are welcome to join these sessions, which will focus on stretching and strengthening the body to release stress and rejuvenate. The goal of yoga is simple: breathe and enjoy the moment, then the rest will follow. In cases of inclement weather, participants will be notified of any cancellations by 4p on event date.
