Oxford and Lake Orion Restaurant Week combo – Oxford and LO Restaurant weeks features more than 20 of the area’s finest restaurants.
Restaurant Week will take place for both towns. I really appreciate the effort they have put forth to promote their restaurants together. Not only do discounts during restaurant week provide tremendous savings, they give you an opportunity to try new restaurants you may not have ordinarily tried.
Waterford Memorial Day Parade – Burke Lumber (Dixie Hwy and Sashabaw Rd, Waterford, MI).
The annual Memorial Day parade hosted by the Heart of the Lakes VFW post 1008. The parade runs on Dixie Hwy beginning at Sashabaw Rd traveling North to Williams Lake Rd. Stony Creek Art Fair – Come enjoy a beautiful art fair by the lake. This boutique juried art fair will feature artists from across the country, showcasing amazing artwork in every price range. There will be live art demonstrations and hands-on activities. Food trucks will be on-site as well. All ages. FREE event. No pre-registration required.
Packard Proving Grounds Mom2Mom Sale – Admission is FREE. This event is a must-visit for parents looking to buy and sell gently used baby and children’s items at unbeatable prices, especially with school just around the corner. Stony Creek Metropark Kids Night at the Nature Center – Drop your kids off and enjoy your Friday night, kid-free. Your kids will have a blast as they meet the nature center animals, including our nocturnal opossum. They’ll get a chance to explore outside along a trail, looking for tracks in the moonlight, gazing at the growing moon, and listening for owl calls and coyote howls. Kids will warm up around our campfire and cook s’mores. Snacks will be provided. Ages 7-12. $10 per child. Pre-registration is required online or by calling 586-781-9113.
Meadow Brook Garden Club – (248-364-6200, meadowbrookhall.org). The Meadow Brook Garden Club also offers special programs that feature a guest speaker. These take place monthly at Meadow Brook Hall.
