Novi Dogs Only Swim – Doggie Dive-In at Lakeshore Park Beach. Play around with your pooch in beautiful Walled Lake or on the shore of Lakeshore Beach. Must be a current member of the Novi Dog Park to participate. Children under the age of 6 are not allowed on the beach during this event. Price is $5 per dog. Pre-registration required. Troy Community Center Trivia Night – Gather your team for a Friday night of friendly trivia competition. Registration fee includes dinner (pizza, breadsticks, salad), refreshments, and two games of trivia play. Prizes awarded to winning teams. Troy Community Center Fairy & Gnome Gathering – A morning of magic and enchantment. Dress up like a fairy or gnome as you stroll through the enchanted gardens. Make a fairy/gnome garden of your own. Puppy Yoga Class – Yoga6 is partnering with Leader Dogs for the Blind and hosting a Flow For A Cause Puppy Yoga Class outdoors. This $30 suggested, donation-based class will support the training of dogs and programs to assist blind and visually impaired individuals. Troy Community Center 70’s Night Dance – Dance the night away to music performed by Danny D. Danny will play a captivating tribute show to Rod Stewart’s greatest hits. Kids can have fun looking for paw prints around the village, which they can turn in for candy and other small prizes. Troy Dogs Only Swim – TFAC Doggie Splash at Troy Family Aquatic Center (248-524-3484). 45 minute dogs only swim. Dogs must be 6 mos old with current dog license. $12 for Troy Dog Park Members, $15 for residents, $18 for non-residents. Tags must be worn the day of event. Aggressive dogs will not be allowed or will be asked to leave w/out refund. Dogs under 30 lbs from 10a-10:45a, 31-61 lbs from 11a-11:45a, 61 lbs plus from noon 12:45p. Must register by September 9. Dog Day at the Oak Park Pool (248-691-7555) – Each registered dog receives a gift and a 55 minute dog-only swim session. Different 55 minute blocks of time per weight of dog. The owners must provide proof of current vaccinations and a dog license before the dog is allowed entry. All dogs must be at least four months old. Dogs displaying aggressive behavior will be asked to leave without refund. Register your dog and learn about cost info at 248-691-7555 and indicate your dog’s weight (under 30 lbs, 30-69 lbs, or 70 lbs plus)
