Farmington Martin Luther King Jr Day Celebration – All events at the Main Library take place in the Auditorium, unless otherwise noted. Annual Dr Martin Luther King Jr celebration includes activities and events for all ages!

Canterbury Village Cupcake Crawl – The shops of the village will each feature a different homemade cupcake for you to sample as you stroll the village. Be sure to vote for your favorite at the end. $2 entry at the door (includes all cupcakes). $5 Parking is required at all events in addition to the admission fee unless otherwise noted. Food Trucks & Fun at the Village of Rochester Hills – The Village of Rochester Hills will host a variety of savory and sweet food trucks and showcase performances by local talent in Festival Park. BRAVO Italian Kitchen will also be hosting a Mobile Bar for guests who would like to purchase alcoholic beverages to enjoy in Festival Park during the performances. New Center Park Detroit FREE Summer Movies – at New Center Park in Midtown Detroit FREE outdoor movie nights hosted by newcenterpark.com. Visitors can grab a chair or bring a blanket, enjoy some free popcorn and settle in for a film in the open-air theater

Movie Nights in the D at Campus Martius Park – Enjoy award-winning films on the big screen at Campus Martius Park during the DDP’s free outdoor movie series. Bring your own chair or blanket for a relaxing summer evening set in the heart of the city. Popcorn is available for purchase.

Donut Be Afraid of Bugs – at 11a & 6p. Educational fun and a Donut truck will be at the VoRH ALL SUMMER. Nadia aka “The Bug Lady” will give you an up-close and educational experience with a variety of bugs. Learn about why these creatures are to be respected for their role in the ecosystem, and not to be feared. You will get the chance to learn about many different exotic insects, touch a tarantula, come face to face with a praying mantis, hold the largest species of millipede in the world, and much more! FUN new themes every week and you can purchase a treat from the donut truck for you & your child while your child learns fun new facts and trivia. These are FREE events. Hosted by TheVofRH.
