Pontiac’s Annual Community Autism Event – This is a FREE event. Donations are accepted. The event will consist of over 15 different activity stations for the children to make, create and play however they’d like. The event will provide food and snacks, gift bags, raffles, bounce houses, face paintings, live performances etc. For more info, email joyallen22@gmail.com.

Hockey Mentors for Special Olympians – Hockey Mentors offers an afternoon of free hockey and ice skating for individuals with any type of special needs, whether that is cognitive, physical or emotional, their family and caregivers. The family friendly event, taking place in two of the Troy Sports Center rinks, includes skate rental, hockey equipment, lunch, t-shirt for those skating and a jersey for guests trying out hockey. No prior experience ice skating or playing hockey is necessary. Advanced registration is needed. See www.hockeymentors.net for more information and registration forms. Harrison Twp Monarch & Hummingbird Festival – Lake St Clair Metropark Celebrate the smallest migrators, the Monarch Butterfly and the Ruby-throated Hummingbird. Short, guided hikes throughout the festival in search of these amazing animals. There will be natural crafts, gardening tips, and monarch tagging demonstrations. All ages. FREE event. No pre-registration required. A Metroparks daily or annual vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark. You can purchase an annual pass HERE.

Adaptive Needs Race – A Good Night for A Run – at Bishop Foley High School. The Agape Project has 6 Hoyt Adaptive Running
