Easter Crafts and Fun for Kids

All Natural Natural Easter Egg Dyes – If you’re looking to color Easter Eggs naturally… this project is fun. Get a pot (or pots) of boiling water raging and add each of the following ingredients for your colors – purple cabbage (purple dye), turmeric (golden yellow), onion skins (orange), beetroot (red). Strain out the ingredients into pour the dye into a mug or glass. Add a teaspoon of vinegar to each cup of dye. Drop your hard-boiled egg into the dye and let it sit for 12 hours. Your Naturally dyed Easter Eggs will look better than store-bought ones.

DIY Easter Crayons – Take your old broken crayons and group them according to colors – reds + oranges, yellows + oranges, shades of blues, shades of greens, etc… Smash the crayons into bits and flakes then put them into a silicon Easter themed baking mold (like this one). Melt them down in the oven (it doesn’t take long) and then pop them out. Use them as crayons or just have them for a fun new decoration.

Nail Polish Easter Eggs – Take a large mixing bowl full of water. Add tiny drops of nail polish to the center of the bowl of water. Take different nail polish colors and add it the original drop and polish spread or cascade across the bowl (see pic 1). Do this until your cool nail polish desing covers the entire surface of the bowl. You can even tweak and bend the surface shape of the nail polish water to contort into different patters. Now you can drop an egg in (make sure you’re wearing a latex glove). You’ll love the cool colors it makes.

Easter Crafts and Fun for Kids – Easter Egg Candles – It doesn’t get any easier than this. Just go to the Dollar Store and buy some cheap plastic eggs. Place a flickering LED tea candle bulb in each one to create a flickering Easter Egg bouquet. You can buy about a million of these LED flickering tea candles on Amazon for cheap.
