Hometown Heroes
Hometown Heroes – Everyone is invited to Hometown Heroes – an event that celebrates the first responders, public health teams and community partners who help make our
communities safer, healthier and stronger.
FREE ADMISSION for the first 250 guests (walk-ups only). First responders families have free admission all day (w/valid ID).
Hometown Heroes activities include:
- Versiti Community Blood Drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Spark! Classroom. One blood donation can save up to 3 lives! Schedule your appointment here. Walk-ins welcome, as schedule allows.
- Live demonstrations showing the science and technology behind safety and emergency response. Plus, special giveaways!
- Hands-on activities and interactive experiences with public safety, public health and community partners. Learn about heart health and more!

Touch A Truck — Explore a MedStar ambulance up close and learn about the life-saving technology and equipment emergency medical professionals use to respond to emergencies.
- Special showings of PBS’s Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood — featuring community helpers.
