Roeper Summer Camps 2026 – The Roeper School offers 3 summer programs. A fun Summer Day Camp program for kids ages 3-12, Roeper Specialty Camps for campers looking to specialize their skills for kids grade 2 through age 11, and Roeper Theater Camp for children in grades 1st-5th.

Like The Roeper School, Roeper camps foster a nurturing and supportive atmosphere, prioritizing values such as diversity, human dignity, and respect. Unlike the school, enrollment is open to all children, and the only requirement besides age is a willingness to explore, create, and, of course, have fun!

Roeper Summer Camps Consists of Four Main Summer Programs

Roeper Summer Day Camp – (Ages 3-12)

Located on the beautiful, 13-acre Lower School Campus in Bloomfield Hills, which includes woodlands, a creek, an athletic field, two swimming pools, three playgrounds, nature trails, and numerous facilities with art rooms, music rooms, tech, and more. The Community Center houses a gymnasium, lunchroom, classrooms, and locker rooms. In addition to our day camp, we provide, and before and after care for an additional fee. Lunch and snacks are included in tuition. A popular feature of the day camp is the choice campers are given to create their own camp experience. Every day at morning meeting, campers (grades 1 and up) choose their activities for the day. Themed events and special activities throughout the sessions are also highlights. Roeper Specialty Camps – (Grade 2 through age 12)

Specialty Day Camps at Roeper provide campers the opportunity to pursue their interests in greater depth while still experiencing the uniqueness of Roeper’s Day Camp. Each day campers spend 2.25 hours in the mornings in small groups focused on a specific activity. For the remainder of the day, campers select from the choices of Activity Camp. The Specialty Day Camps are a combination camp allowing for in-depth learning and recreational fun for children currently in grades 2 through 12 years of age (grade level may vary by program). Roeper Theater Camps – (Grades 1-5)

Lights, camera, action! Dive into the world of drama and fun this summer at Roeper Theater Camp. Campers will embark on a theatrical adventure like no other, immersing themselves in improv games, lively rehearsals, and hands-on set/costume design. We’ll be busy, but not too busy to participate in some activities at Roeper Summer Day Camp. For half of the days in each session, campers will be bussed to the Bloomfield Hills campus to participate in a choice of activities. During these periods, the campers can choose from all the fun camp activities including swimming, games in the gym, arts and crafts, science, and more. Campers will travel via the Roeper school bus every Tuesday and Friday and on the Wednesdays of weeks 1, 3, and 5. Boost confidence, discover hidden talents, and make lifelong friends in an environment bursting with creativity. Sessions are either two weeks, four weeks or six weeks. Limited spots available. Roeper Summer Camps – Roeper Basketball Camp (Grades 2-11)

Allows participants to work on their fundamental skills and teamwork through fun activities, drills, and games. All skill levels are welcome. Many of the Roeper coaches are there to help your child’s skills improve. The camp is divided into elementary (grades 2-4) and Middle and Upper (grades 5-11). The camp runs for a 1/2 day – lunch, snacks, and before/after care are not available.
