97.1 The Ticket Hosts Free Sportsfest at Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan
UPDATE: 97.1 The Ticket WILL NOT be hosting a Sportsfest for 2014. Hopefully they’ll bring it back for 2015. Below is the info for the 2013 Sportsfest.
97.1 The Ticket hosts its fourth annual free SportsFest, the ultimate Detroit sports fan appreciation event, on Saturday, February 16th, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Suburban Collection Showplace (46100 Grand River Avenue, Novi, Michigan), formerly Rock Financial Showplace. Admission is free for the whole family to enjoy this celebration of Detroit sports. Parking is $5.
Fans at Sportsfest can meet and greet current and former stars of their favorite Detroit teams: the Detroit Lions, the Detroit Tigers, the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Pistons. 2013 Sportsfest will also include roundtable discussions with 97.1 The Ticket hosts.
In addition to autograph signing sessions, Sportsfest 97.1 The Ticket attendees also will be able to enjoy interactive games and round-table discussions, meet 97.1 The Ticket on-air personalities, see impressive sports memorabilia and even hang out at the Sports Pub. For the kids, inflatables, mascot appearances, speed pitch machines and youth clinics will make it a day to remember. New to Sportsfest for 2013 is the 97.1 The Ticket Tailgate Challenge. Submit a picture of your best tailgate party set-up to enter 97.1 The Ticket’s Tailgate Challenge. 20 lucky contestants will compete at the 2013 SportsFest on February 16 for a chance to win cash prizes in the following categories: Best Overall Tailgate Presentation, Main Entrée, and Non-Alcoholic Drink.

Schedule of athletes signing autographs is subject to change without notice. Sportsfest autograph procedures for 2013:There will be a one-time $10 donation fee at the door for athlete autographs. 100 percent of the money received will benefit the 97.1 The Ticket/Beaumont Student Heart check program. Attendees who make their one time $10 donation will receive a numbered wristband. Due to demand of autographs, a wristband lottery system may be used for select autographs.
