Dragon on the Lake 2025 – Events, hours and info for the annual Lake Orion Dragon on the Lake Summer Festival. Dragon on the Lake takes place each August. Dragon on the Lake kicks off on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 5p with the opening of Dragon Pub. Dragon Pub will also be open with the same hours on Friday, August 22. The festival heats up on Saturday, August 23 & Sunday August 24 with live entertainment, an art + craft fair, a kids zone, Dragon Boat Races and much more.
In its new location at the Children’s Park, this year’s Little Dragon Den has offerings for kids of all ages. The Kids Stage at the Park Gazebo will feature performances from Amazing Clark, story time with Amy Silvester, demonstrations from the Lake Orion Robotics Team, and more.
The Early Bird cover charge for Dragon Pub is $10+ online fees per day for Friday and Saturday when tickets are purchased in advance or $15 the day of the show. Tickets are available for purchase the Dragon on the Lake website at this link. The Dragon Pub will feature a variety of beer, cider, and canned cocktails. Our featured drink is the “Heart of the Dragon,” made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Lemonade and Strawberry Puree.
Chalk Art Challenge
Claim the concrete as your canvas and enter the 2025 Chalk Art Challenge at Dragon on the Lake. Chalk artists will compete for over $1,000 in prize money and no experience is necessary. With individual, team, and student divisions, there are opportunities for all community members to get involved. The Chalk Art Challenge will take place on Saturday, August 23 in its new location on Front Street. Register / More Info at this link.
