Detroit Weekend Events – Monroe St Drive In Powered by Emagine Theatre
Monroe St Drive In (32 Monroe Street, Detroit, MI 48226)
Monroe Street Drive-In Powered By Emagine will feature a 60×32 ft digital projection screen. Showtimes every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7p. All showtimes and programming will be managed by Emagine Entertainment and the site will include parking for up to 65 vehicles including outdoor seating, pedestrian paths, concession pavilions and lighting, and warming areas. Tickets are $20 per vehicle and can be purchased at emagine-entertainment.com. Additionally, tickets can be purchased in-person at the Monroe Street Drive-In Powered By Emagine when gates open at 6p. The series will host national music acts, DJs, comedians and more in the 270 seat EMAX. Each show will be ticketed separately, and seating will be spaced to current Covid mandates. Seating options include; a private box for up to 15 people, luxury recliners, high top tables and chairs, or main floor seats. Each option available at different prices. Brownstown Weekend Events – Earth Day Clean-up

Volunteers will be assigned to different areas of the park at check-in. All necessary tools, gloves and bags will be provided. Volunteers will receive free entry into the park on clean-up day. Face coverings and social distancing are required. Additional Earth Day Clean-up opportunities are available for scouts on April 17 and students on April 24. All ages. Hit the trails in search of some outdoor beauty. While out, journal some of your findings through sketches. This program is entirely outdoors. Social distancing and face coverings are required. Waterford Weekend Events – Hop Into Spring

Families will be able to schedule a time slot between 10a and 3p (10a, 11:30a, and 1p). Highlights include a photo opportunity for the children with one of the farm bunnies and egg hunt out in the field. There will be a craft station and games. Safe distancing, masks and other protocol will be in place as necessitated due to current State guidelines. Hosted by Waterford Parks & Recreation. Pre-registration required. $5/resident, $7/non-resident.

Lake Orion Weekend Events – Spring Open Air Markets at Canterbury Village

Farmington Hills Weekend Events – Earth Week: Days of Action
Heritage Park Nature Center (24915 Farmington Road, Farmington Hills, MI)
Hosted by the City of Farmington Hills Special Services Dept. This year’s Earth Week events feature FREE family fun activities for kids and adults of all ages. Both in-person and virtual events are available. Pre-registration is required for all Earth Week events at recreg.fhgov.com.

Activities, projects, information, and games to learn about recycling, pollution, native plants, and helping wildlife. To maintain social distancing, families and small “bubble” groups will move through activities on their own and not with a large group. Dress for the weather as most activities will be outside. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Each participant must enroll and pay the fee. Ages 5+. $9. After registering, each family or “bubble” group will be assigned a specific start time a few minutes apart from each other within your session to maintain social distancing. White Lake Weekend Events – Spring Night Hike
Indian Springs Metropark – (5200 Indian Trail, White Lake, MI 48386, 248-625-6640, metroparks.com)
Learn to recognize some of the native frogs and toads of Michigan by their calls; we will listen for them out among the wetlands on the nature trails. In addition to seated activities at the picnic shelter, we will walk approximately 1.5 miles on mainly level, gravel and dirt trails. Dress for the weather, rain or shine, as this program will be all outdoors. Face coverings and social distancing are required. Ages 7+. $5. Pre-register at least 1 day in advance at 248-625-7280.
