Apple Cider Vinegar Health Benefits – What Kind and Where to Buy Apple Cider Vinegar
Natural vinegars that contain the mother have enzymes and minerals that other vinegars in grocery stores may not have due to over-processing, over-heating, and filtration. For this reason, it is recommended that you purchase only Natural Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, with an ideal acidity (pH) level of 5 to 7.
Make sure you get raw, unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar with “The Mother”. I highly recommend buying the BRAGG brand. I also recommend purchasing the largest size available for a cost savings.
Apple Cider Vinegar Health Benefits – How to Take Apple Cider Vinegar
Why don’t people drink more Apple Cider Vinegar? Because of the horrific taste! It’s gotten easier to take ACV though, you can even take it in capsules or in gummies now. But… I’m old school.. so here’s how I drink it.
I’ve given up on Apple Cider Vinegar recipes to try to “dress up” the taste with various recipes and decided it just can’t be done. There’s no escaping it, but you can make it better.
Because of the strong, horrible taste… I’ve been experimenting with how to get my daily dosage of ACV in without burning my throat to shreds. I’ve come up with 2 possible solutions for how to drink Apple Cider Vinegar.
1 – Drink Apple Cider Vinegar like a shot of whiskey and then chase it as quickly as possible with gulps of cool water. I don’t know how else to explain this one. Pour a 1 oz shot of ACV and slam it like you’re at a frat party. The key is to “chase” it IMMEDIATELY with cool or luke warm water.
2 – Drink Apple Cider Vinegar by pouring a shot of it and mixing it with cool water. Much easier than the “shot & a chaser” approach, the ACV goes down better this way. Since I exercise anyway, I mix a 1 oz shot of ACV with 16-32 ounces of chilled water before my workout and use it as my workout water. If you’re thirsty and working out, it’s actually somewhat refreshing and one of the best ways to consume your daily ACV. I’m not saying I prefer drinking ACV this way, but it’s not nearly as bad and the Apple Cider Vinegar health benefits seem amplified because I’m already doing something healthy by working out.
