L. Brooks Patterson – “Yes, this drives my diabetes crazy!

L. Brooks Patterson – “Oh yeah! This is my first year on the dessert side and we’ve got a lot of good cooks in this area.”

Mayor Bryan Barnett – “I would say like wine, 2013 was a good year for apple pies. We had some really great choices and all the pies tasted fantastic. All of them unique and all really excellent.”

Mayor Bryan Barnett: “The winner….was the number one unanimous decision on all our judges tickets.”

L. Brooks Patterson: “Oh no, we were all over the place. I deferred to the ladies (other judges). And, please let everyone know that I voted for all the ladies who lost.” laughing.
