Art and Apples Contest Winners 2014 – The 2014 Art and Apples Festival Apple Pie and Apple Dessert Contest in Rochester Municipal Park once again featured celebrity guest judges and, as usual, the most delicious desserts in Metro Detroit!

Oakland County Moms will feature the winning recipes in the coming days in our recipe section.

Art and Apples Contest Winners 2014 – Pies

  • 1st – Caramel Apple Pecan Pie – Cynthia Zalewski, Rochester Hills
  • 2nd – Apple Pie – Bob Gilbert, Rochester Hills
  • 3rd – Made With True Love Apple Pie – Jenifer Utter, Columbus

  • 1st – Caramel Apple Brownies – Rani France, West Bloomfield
  • 2nd – Chunky Cinnamon Balsamic Apples – Beth Johnson, Rochester Hills
  • 3rd – Apple, Raisin and WHAT? Cake – Frank Nelson, Rochester Hills

When asked if there was a clear cut winner this year, Bryan Barnett replied, “There was actually…there was one that was absolutely tops in texture, taste, and presentation. Once the announcements were made, it was clear Bryan was referring to the First Place pie winning entry.

All proceeds from Art and Apples Apple Pie and Apple Dessert contests will benefit Paint Creek Center for the Arts.

Presented by Paint Creek Center for the Arts, a nonprofit art center, the Art & Apples Festival is Michigan’s second largest juried fine art festival with an average attendance of over 200,000 festival-goers and 290 artists from across the country. The festival showcases artists from across the country, local entertainment acts, a free Kids Art Zone, Activity Zone, 3 food courts and more.
