Be The Astronaut Exhibit at the Sloan Museum

Be The Astronaut Exhibit at the Sloan Museum review, pics, and info. The Sloan Museum in Flint is hosting the Be The Astronaut exhibit from January 20 through May 13, 2018. I attended the Be The Astronaut exhibit and am sharing some pics of the lastest Sloan Museum exhibit with you here.

Sloan’s Be The Astronaut exhibit is a mission adventure. Guests will blast off in their own space capsule and discover the future of space exploration. At Starship Sloan, you will explore interactive navigation and technology stations, and get ready to pilot your own mission. Videogame interfaces and hands-on command centers allow YOU to become the engineers and astronauts that make space flight possible.

To complete a mission, guests follow the instructions at three stations: the NAV Station (the mission planning stage – choose between the Moon, Mars, and Jupiter), the SCI Station (an introduction to the technology you’ll use on your mission – a rocket launch, a space ship, a lander, a rover, etc.), and the FLY Station (fly in your own space capsule)!

The displays throughout the exhibit teach about spaceships, landers, orbits, needed equipment, and more!

The Be The Astronaut exhibit is good for all ages. Younger children will enjoy the views, the touch screens, and learning the basics, while the older kids (and adults) will enjoy the complexity and varying challenge levels from mission to mission. Guests use touch screens to activate the displays, and they may also use the given Astronaut ID card to swipe at each display for the Story Mode.

The Sloan Museum Be The Astronaut exhibit is stroller and wheelchair accessible.
