Breakfast Casserole Recipe – ingredients and directions for the ultimate breakfast casserole. I am thinking about trying this recipe out for breakfast on Father’s Day. I read that it can be prepped the night before and refrigerated over night.

Breakfast Casserole Recipe Ingredients

1 pound bacon, cooked
1/4 cup diced onion
1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
3 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
8 eggs
2 cups milk
1 (16 ounce) package frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed

Recipe Directions

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 7×11 inch casserole dish. Line bottom of dish with hash browns and bake for 15 minutes.
2. Reduce heat to 350. In a large bowl beat together eggs and milk. Mix in cheese, bacon, onion and green pepper. Pour mixture into casserole dish, over the hash browns.
3. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in preheated oven for 35 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 30 minutes until eggs have set.
