West Bloomfield Easter Spring Fling Flashlight Egg Hunt – For ages 7-12. Bring a flashlight and basket to carry away all your goodies. Come at 7:30 p if you wish to participate in the train ride and the petting zoo. Event will begin when it is totally dark (approximately 8:30p). This event will go rain or shine, so dress for the weather. Winter or rain boots highly recommended. *IF not sold out in advance, on-site registration will be $10 cash only. Oakland County Parks will mark the Juneteenth holiday by waiving vehicle entry fees on Monday, June 19. Oakland County Parks’ Mobile Recreation Unit will also be participating in local celebration and commemoration events honoring Juneteenth throughout Oakland County with fun, free activities such as inflatables, games, climbing towers and more.
Visitors can enjoy access to general park activities, including trails, dog parks, playgrounds, picnic areas, beaches and fishing spots from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset (unless otherwise posted).
Pet Event: Mystery Pets – Meet some real live mystery pets and learn which animals might make good pets, and which should be left in the wild. Price: $7 (includes general admission). Discount given to children, seniors, and Troy Historical Society members. No registration required. Details

West Bloomfield Preschool Open House – from 9a-1p & 4p-6p. Open House for The Sarah & Irving Pitt Early Childhood Center / The J Detroit. The preschool accepts children as young as newborns up to pre-K four-year-olds. In the coming academic year, enrichment program offerings include gym, music, cooking, Hebrew, and Judaic classes. As an added incentive, this year the $100 enrollment fee is being waived for new students to help reduce the overall cost, and new families that sign up by Sept. 1 will get two weeks of free school.
