Oakland County Moms Calendar of Metro Detroit Summer Events
BubBalloonaChicks Bubble Show Magic – Bubble and balloon artistry. BubBalloonaChicks will transport you into the magical world of mega bubbles, billions of bubbles, amoeba shaped bubbles and other bubble tricks. Oakland County Parks will mark the Juneteenth holiday by waiving vehicle entry fees on Monday, June 19. Oakland County Parks’ Mobile Recreation Unit will also be participating in local celebration and commemoration events honoring Juneteenth throughout Oakland County with fun, free activities such as inflatables, games, climbing towers and more.
Visitors can enjoy access to general park activities, including trails, dog parks, playgrounds, picnic areas, beaches and fishing spots from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset (unless otherwise posted).
Blake’s Lyon Township Fall Kick-off Celebration – Free Funland admission from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (jumping pillows, John Deere Speedway, Amish play structures, Mr. Bones Outhouse, Hillbilly Wagon, and animal petting farm. Live music, food trucks, cider garden. $1 from every dozen donuts and u-pick apple bags will be donated to South Lyon based charity Active Faith
Highland Trick or Trucks – at Milford High School ( 2380 S Milford Rd, Highland, MI 48357)
Not only will kids get the experience of trick or treating, but they will also get to see the area’s biggest trucks. Possible trucks will include a dump truck, fire engine, bulldozer, and more. Blakes Kids and Canines Trunk or Treat – Bring the kids and dogs for an afternoon of FREE Halloween fun, complete with costume contests for both children and their four-legged friends. In addition to candy, there will also be homemade dog treats.

Troy Stage Nature Center Trick or Treat Among The Trees – A fun and friendly outdoor celebration for kids ages 3-9. Costumed kids are welcome to hike the woodland pumpkin trail with a SNC guide. Children will learn the secrets of the forest and receive treats and meet costumed characters. Dress for weather. Fee is $14.50. FREE for parents/guardians. Highland Kris Kringle Market
Highland Kris Kringle Market & Tree Lighting will have the Kris Kringle Market from 5p-9p and the tree lighting at 7p. Event will be held at Veteran’s Park (Livingston and John St). Annual tree-lighting ceremony features caroling, light refreshments, crafts, and a visit from Santa Claus. After Santa arrival, activities take place across the street at 205 W Livingston. Santa Visits at Stage Nature Center
Santa Visits at Stage Nature Center is Hosted by the Troy Nature Society. Visit times vary. The visits will take place outside, weather permitting. Bring your letter with a return address for Santa to take with him to the North Pole. Santa will send a letter back to you. At the visit, each child will receive the materials and directions for a special craft to make at home and a special gift bag from Santa. Ages 3-8. $12.
