Troy Stage Nature Center “EGG”stravaganza – 4 timeslots to choose from. Families will take a short spring hike on their own and not with a guided group. At stops along the way, participate in egg games and activities. $14 per child. For more info, visit troynaturesociety.org.

Troy Stage Nature Center Earth Day Celebration – 86 Plastic will give a short program to highlight that less than 5% of what we send to recycling is truly repurposed. She will be presenting ways to replace common household (plastic) items for a more sustainable swap. More Earth Day events

Pontiac’s Annual Community Autism Event – This is a FREE event. Donations are accepted. The event will consist of over 15 different activity stations for the children to make, create and play however they’d like. The event will provide food and snacks, gift bags, raffles, bounce houses, face paintings, live performances etc. For more info, email joyallen22@gmail.com.

Whitmore Lake Fireworks – Fireworks over Whitmore Lake. Dunk tank, games, food vendors start at 7pm in field across from Post Office on main St. Fireworks @ 9:55p. Parking at Northfield Community Park. For more info, visit wl4th.org.

Hockey Mentors for Special Olympians – Hockey Mentors offers an afternoon of free hockey and ice skating for individuals with any type of special needs, whether that is cognitive, physical or emotional, their family and caregivers. The family friendly event, taking place in two of the Troy Sports Center rinks, includes skate rental, hockey equipment, lunch, t-shirt for those skating and a jersey for guests trying out hockey. Festival of the Hills Fireworks Rochester Hills – NEW DATE, at Borden Park. Oakland County’s largest fireworks show returns to Borden Park in Rochester Hills. The Festival of the Hills at Borden Park starts at 6p with family games, music and live entertainment. Fireworks Hotline – 248-841-BOOM. NOTE: Event has been rescheduled for Thursday, July 27 and will have limited activities. The scaled-down event will start at a new time – 8 p.m. – and the only activities will be “The Super Mario Bros Movie” and the live entertainment on stage starting at 8 p.m. There will still be a limited number of food vendors on site.

Whitmore Lake Spooky Tales & Halloween Treats – Spooky stories around the campfire. Halloween games, crafts, tricks, and treats. Drop your fishing line in the Fish Pond and try to hook a surprise. Kiwanis Community Easter Egg Hunt

Kiwanis Community Easter Egg Hunt – All ages from Toddler to 12 years of age are invited to attend. Hunt for eggs – find candies or prizes in every egg. Hosted by the Whitmore Lake Kiwanis Club.
