South Lyon Christmas Holiday Spectacular in Downtown South Lyon. Formerly known as Cool Yule. South Lyon whips up a full-day of Christmas and holiday fun. The South Lyon community will celebrate the upcoming holiday season. Enjoy Santa visits, live reindeer, trackless train rides, characters, holiday market, South Lyon Lighted Parade, and more. Riley Park Ice Rink Glow Skate
Riley Park Ice Rink Glow Skate – Riley Park Ice Skating Rink Special Event. Riley Park ice rink is open daily, weather permitting. Hours are daily from 10a-10p. Fun dance music with special disco lighting. $5 per person. The rink does not have rental skates, but there are of skates available for skaters to borrow. South Lyon Daddy Daughter Dance – 3p-5p or 6p-8p (2 sessions to choose from). Open to non-residents. 70s Theme. The dance is broken down into two time slots; 3-5pm and 6-8pm. SLARA recommends that children 6 & under sign up for the first time slot. Children 7+ sign up for the 6-8pm time slot. This is only a recommendation, children 3+ are invited to both time slot. South Lyon Easter Egg Scramble – 15,000 fun filled eggs. 4 fields for all age groups. Meet firefighters, police officers, and the Easter Bunny. Event is hosted by Kiwanis Club of South Lyon who recommends arrival between 11a-noon.

Mayfair Co-Op Mom2Mom Sale – Mom to Mom Sales are a great place to sell your children’s outgrown and gently used items or for those who do direct sales for businesses such as Tupperware, Thirty-One Bags, or Young Living. South Lyon Memorial Day Parade
South Lyon Memorial Day Parade – Organized by VFW Post 2502. The parade launches at 9a from Bartlett Elementary and makes its way down 10 Mile through downtown. The parade ends in the South Lyon Cemetery with a ceremony that commemorates the contributions and sacrifices of all veterans. Organized by South Lyon VFW Post 1224.

Farmington Memorial Day Parade
Farmington Memorial Day Parade – at the Intersection of Grand River & Orchard Lake Road on Grand River Avenue, between Orchard Lake Road and downtown Farmington. The event ends with a ceremony at Memorial Park at Grand River Avenue & Oakland Street, followed by a free community luncheon hosted at the American Legion. The Parade Committee is looking for volunteers who would like to join the team and help organize and manage the event.
