Bring your Mom, Grandmother or someone who is like a mom to you out for a self-guided spring hike on the trails and make some memories. Enjoy the wildflowers that are starting to bloom and share some quality time with the special person in your life. Be sure to stop by the nature center to get a certificate and a flower to plant at home. A Metroparks daily or annual vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark. Permits are on sale NOW. Meadow Brook Garden Club – (248-364-6200, meadowbrookhall.org). The Meadow Brook Garden Club also offers special programs that feature a guest speaker. These take place monthly at Meadow Brook Hall. Oakland County Parks Pet Wellness Clinic – Independence Oaks – Oakland County Parks Pet Vaccinations clinics for dogs and cats
are low-cost. Pets must either be leashed or brought in a carrier to the events. No appointments are needed to get your pet vaccinated, obtain preventative care, receive microchipping and/or purchase a dog license. Vaccinations, heartworm tests, flea prevention and dewormer are available. For pet safety, bring dogs on a short leash with a snug collar and cats in a carrier. There are no residency requirements. Yoga in the Rock Garden – (5:40p registration) Experience a beautiful practice with Yoga in the Rock Garden at Meadow Brook. All levels are welcome to join these sessions, which will focus on stretching and strengthening the body to release stress and rejuvenate. The goal of yoga is simple: breathe and enjoy the moment, then the rest will follow. In cases of inclement weather, participants will be notified of any cancellations by 4p on event date. Explore Stony Creek Metropark with your furry friend. During each program, a park interpreter will meet you at different dog-friendly rustic trails throughout the park.
