Kensington Metropark Chickadee Chow Down
Kensington Metropark Chickadee Chow Down – at Kensington Metropark (810-227-8910, metroparks.com)
Bundle up and enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience. Around the Nature Center, a variety of winter songbirds will eagerly fly to your hand for seeds. Learn how to identify the birds you might feed, and how to properly feed songbirds in the park. Then take a short, guided walk along a mixed gravel path to meet your new feathered friends. Seed provided. Bring your camera. Lightly colored gloves or mittens are recommended for best results. This entire program is outdoors so dress warmly. All ages. $3 per child / $5 per adult / Under 2 FREE. Pre-registration is required online or by calling 810-227-8910.

Royal Oak Memorial Day Parade
Royal Oak Memorial Day Parade – The parade will start at Main Street & Lincoln and will proceed north to Second Street The parade has been held on Memorial Day for several decades as a respectful tribute to our veterans – past and present. American Legion Post 374 and VFW Post 9222 are hosting a Memorial Day Ceremony at City Hall. Following the ceremony, the Legion will host a post-ceremony at noon. Hosted by the City of Berkley. Hosted by the Berkley American Legion Stanley J. Fons Post 374.

Berkley Summer Outdoor Movie Night
Berkley Summer Outdoor Movie Night – Berkley, Michigan Parks and Rec is holding Free Summer Outdoor Movie Night at Community Park (next to the Berkley Community Center). They are also hosting another outdoor movie on the Berkley Community Center Lawn. The movies start at dusk but the fun starts at 6p. Often there is plenty of entertainment for the kids at these events. Often there have been inflatables and concessions stands before the movie starts. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy! This movie is part of Berkley Parks and Rec’s Summer Fest. Summer Fest a series of fun events for people of all ages that reside in Berkley.
